Repair work at the Seminole Boat Ramp facility. SUMMARY OF WORK: The City of Clearwater is seeking a qualified marine contractor for repairs to in-water components at the Seminole St. boat ramp facility. Final ramp design has been designated a contractor-activity to allow for flexibility in construction methodology. This facility services a high volume of boat launching and loading. Boats that use this facility range in size from small jon-boats to large pontoon and open fisherman. The ramp easily handles boats in excess of 35' with combined weights of over 10 tons . The ramp contains four launching bays, each sized to handle two trailers and vessels concurrently or eight total launching ramps. Currently, the two outside ramps of the eight total are longer, approximately 56' from the mean high water (MHW) to the toe, than the interior six ramps . The interior six ramps are approximately 46' from MHW to the toe. The project consists of furnishing a final design and all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, fuel, power, water, providing environmental protection, and performing all operations in connection with the Seminole St. Boat Ramp Restoration project as indicated in the attached Narratives, Plans and Specifications. All work included in the bid must be completed within the Contract Time from the date specified on the Notice to Proceed
