Reference Number 0000333661 Question Acceptance Deadline Oct 19, 2026 02:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes Installation of a fixed ladder to provide access to the upper roof level of the elevator machine room and provide guard rails along the upper roof perimeter. Provide new patio stones on rigid insulation, as noted on the drawings, to provide access to the new ladder location from the existing roof walkway. Provide a new fixed ladder with connections to the existing elevator machine room exterior wall and the existing concrete column, as noted on the drawings. Provide a platform at the top of the fixed ladder, as noted on the drawings. At the new ladder roof location, provide a self-closing safety gate at the top of the ladder platform. New roof guard rails are to be a ballasted system with brace backs to avoid interfering with existing roof elements. The Contractor shall take precautions and place protection (rigid insulation, plywood, etc.) on the existing roof membrane at both the main roof level and the upper roof level to ensure that the existing roof is not damaged during the installation.
