These include roof top units (rtu) and packaged terminal air conditioning units (ptac), kitchen exhaust hoods, as well as limited duct replacement and electrical commensurate with this work: Rtus will be replaced with new units to meet code and ventilation standards, with heat pump configuration and energy recovery wheels. Rtus and ptacs serving administration areas will be replaced with air-cooled variable refrigerant flow (vrf) systems with dedicated outside air systems (doas) Kitchen hood exhaust fans and make-up air units will be replaced. New ductwork will be routed throughout classroom ceiling, as required. Electrical panels will be replaced throughout the building In addition, the existing Siemens bas system will be replaced with a non-proprietary system based on the niagara ns framework. Architectural and structural scope consists of patching and infilling as required, re-flashing and patching of roof components, all abandoned curbs shall be capped watertight in anticipation of future roof replacement, supplemental structural reinforcement, and act and lighting replacement in affected areas as required, including the kitchen hard ceiling. There will be no change in occupancy classification or load, area, egress, fire ratings, or life safety conditions as a result of these improvements.
