The project includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials required to complete the Keyes Road over Wilder Brook Culvert Replacement Project. The project includes, but is not limited to phased demolition of the existing 8diameter CMP culvert, demolition of the existing road surface and sidewalk, bank stabilization and grading, dewatering, dredging, roadway grading, water main relocation, installation of a new 24-foot span 3-sided rigid frame bridge structure, installation of new HMA walkway and HMA berm, streambed restoration, roadway paving and other work, appurtenances, and incidental items as set forth in the contract documents. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Bridge Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified or cashiers check, payable to the City of Gardner, is required in a dollar amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. A performance bond and labor and materials bond for 100% of the total contract price, issued by a satisfactory surety company shall be required by the successful bidder. The City of Gardner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received. Bids may not be withdrawn within 30 days of the bid opening.
