Replacement of aging 2-inch galvanized iron potable water mains with new 3-inch and 6-inch HDPE water mains, including open-cut and horizontal directional drilling, installation of a water main loop, and replacement/relocation of one fire hydrant. This visit will NOT be available via Zoom SCOPE AND INTENT This project consists of a replacement of an existing 2-inch galvanized iron potable water main along Lee Drive and Denson Drive with a new 3-inch DR- 11 PE Water Main at Silver Circle replacing the existing water main along Lee Drive via installation of 1,090 linear feet of 3- inch DR-11 PE open-cut water main and 150 linear feet of 3-inch horizontal directionally drilled DR-11 PE water main. The new main will connect to the existing 6-inch water main at Silver Circle and extend along Lee Drive. It will also tie into the existing 6-inch asbestos cement water main along Silver Circle, connecting to the proposed main along Lee Drive. Additionally, a loop in the water main is proposed by directional drilling approximately 180 linear feet of 8- inch DR-11 PE 4710 water main from Silver Circle to Glenwood drive connecting via two tapping sleeves and valves. WORK INCLUDED The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and means of construction necessary for the proper performance and completion of the work. Contractor shall obtain and pay for all required permits, if identified. Contractor shall perform and complete the work in the manner best estimated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Owner, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted , and shall do all work and pay all costs incidental thereto. Contractor shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the work.
