Site work for a water / sewer project in Montville, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Installation of a residential bedrock well at a private property. The well shall be constructed by placing and sealing casing a minimum of 60 feet into competent bedrock followed by drilling to a minimum depth of 350 feet in order to prevent salt intrusion into the upper portion of the bedrock zone. If suitable yield is not attained at the 350-foot depth, additional drilling depth may be authorized by TRC. The scope of work includes the following activities: Obtain permits from the local District Department of Public Health (DPH) prior to initiating drilling and conduct bedrock drilling to a minimum of 350 feet; Evaluate the capacity of the existing electrical panel to accommodate the new well pump, document any identified deficiencies, and install a sub panel , if necessary; Complete trenching and installation of the new water supply well and the associated piping, well pump, and power/control; Disinfect the new bedrock well; Restore the landscape to previous site conditions; Abandon the existing water supply dug well after the new well is in service and an additional dug well that is present on the property but is no longer in use; and
