Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 6,000-square-foot medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

Construct a 6,000-square-foot addition on top of the existing 6th floor to create new inpatient mental health program and clinic space, along with the renovation of approximately 9,500 square feet of existing mental health space on the 7th floor, for a total construction effort of approximately 15,500 square feet. The project is intended to increase patient privacy, enhance security, and improve operational efficiency for Veterans receiving care. Work includes hazardous materials abatement, maintenance of uninterrupted critical utility services such as power and gas, infection control measures, crane operations, fall protection, phased construction activities, and major construction work involving structural, architectural, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and construction-related services necessary to complete the project in accordance with the final plans and specifications prepared by an independent Architect-Engineer firm.
