McHenry County College is seeking a qualified flooring contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, removal , preparation, installation , and related services necessary to replace the existing flooring on the 3rd floor of the A Building. The existing flooring throughout the designated areas shall be removed and properly disposed of. The contractor shall prepare the existing substrate as necessary and install new luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring in accordance with the specifications , layout, pattern, and installation requirements outlined in this Scope of Work. The anticipated project area is approximately 3,500 square feet. This quantity is provided as an estimate only and shall not be considered the final measured quantity for the project. The contractor is responsible for verifying all dimensions and quantities in the field prior to ordering materials or beginning work. Project Details Existing Flooring Removal The contractor shall remove the existing flooring within all areas identified for replacement. Removal shall include: o Existing LVT, resilient flooring , carpet, or other flooring materials within the designated work areas, as applicable. Existing adhesives and flooring-related materials to the extent necessary to provide a suitable substrate for the new flooring. o Removal of debris generated by the flooring replacement. Proper disposal and recycling of materials where applicable. The contractor shall take reasonable precautions to protect walls, doors, base, fixtures, furniture, equipment, and other existing College property during demolition and installation. The contractor shall maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition throughout the project and shall remove all construction debris from the site upon completion .
