No gate construction shall begin until all measurements have been confirmed at the project site. Gate Requirements Furnish and install two (2) cantilever gates, each providing a 25-foot clear opening. Gates shall be constructed entirely of Schedule 40 steel pipes. Chain-link fabric shall match the existing fence: 2" mesh 9-gauge galvanized wire Class KK coating 2.0 oz. zinc coating Gate frames shall include: O 2-1/2" Schedule 40 top rail 2-1/2" Schedule 40 bottom rail 2-1/2" Schedule 40 center rail welded horizontally through the center of the gate frame to minimize flexing from wind loads. Angled bracing/supports shall be welded into the gate frame to prevent sagging and maintain structural integrity. All welds shall be continuous and completed in a professional manner. Hardware Requirements Cantilever roller assemblies shall utilize nylon rollers only. Metal rollers will not be accepted. Gates should be designed for heavy-duty commercial use and frequent vehicle traffic. Gates shall include all required posts, rollers, brackets, guides, hardware, and accessories necessary for a complete installation. o Gate latch mechanism shall : Support the use of padlock. Allow locking and unlocking from both the inside and outside of the gate. Installation Securely hold the gate in the closed position. Contractors shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, concrete, and incidentals necessary for complete installation. Contractor shall be responsible for locating existing utilities before excavation. o Site shall be cleaned and restored upon project completion.
