This project consists of replacing approximately 2,950 linear feet of existing fencing along the Northern property line of the Johnson Canyon Landfill, located near Gonzales, California, with an eight (8) foot tall galvanized chain-link fence equipped with black ViewGuard or approved equivalent privacy slats. The work includes installing one (1) new forty (40) foot wide galvanized double swing gate and replacing the chain-link fabric on the existing gate with new galvanized chain-link fabric equipped with black ViewGuard or approved equivalent privacy slats. The existing gate frames shall be retained. The contractor shall remove the existing fencing, posts, concrete footings, and associated hardware along the designated replacement alignment and transport removed materials to designated an onsite drop off area as directed by SVSWA. The contractor shall clear and grade the area along the removed fence alignment, leaving a stable, uniform surface suitable for installation of the new fence. SVSWA shall provide site security and/or furnish and install temporary construction fencing. The contractor shall be responsible for securing the entrance gate while performing gate modifications, including whenever the work is unattended and at the end of each workday. If gate work leaves the entrance unsecured, the contractor shall provide temporary barriers or another security method approved by SVSWA until the gate is operational and the site is secured. The contractor shall provide all labor, services, tools, machinery, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work as described in the bid documents
