The building houses the Saint-Maurice Adult Education Centre and comprises a main building constructed in 1937, as well as an additional section built in the 1950s. The corridor ceilings contain asbestos which must be encapsulated. The suspended ceilings and lighting systems will also need to be replaced. The ceilings in the targeted corridors will need to be dismantled to allow for the encapsulation of the asbestos. New acoustic tile ceilings and new lighting systems will then be installed. Delivery schedule Start of works: 11 January 2027 End of works: 26 March 2027
