Reference number: 20177107 Deadline for receipt of complaints 2026-10-26 There is provision for a tendering process for each tender No Electronic tender submission accepted No Expected duration of the contract without options (in months) 12 Description 1.1 The town of Maniwaki is supplied with drinking water by wells PP3, PP4, and PP5. Well PP3 was completed in 2005. The wells are multi-tube (diameter: 400 mm / 250 mm) and tap into a sand aquifer. The well screens are 6 meters long and are installed at depths ranging from 19 to 26 meters. Well PP4 was constructed in the spring of 2010 (610/406 mm). Construction diagrams for wells PP3, PP4, and PP5 are provided in the appendix. Well #5 was constructed in the spring of 2013 (610/406 mm) and put into service in the spring of 2014. 1.2 Supply well PP3 was put into operation in 2008, PP4 in the fall of 2010, and PP5 in the winter of 2009. Additional development of well PP4 was carried out in the spring of 2012, using a dual-piston "air-lift and jetting" system. The presence of iron, in the range of 1 to 5 mg/L, in the water extracted from this aquifer formation causes a loss of efficiency in the production wells. Several acid cleanouts were performed in June 2014 for Well 3 and, finally, in October 2015 for Well 4; Well 3 was cleaned using piston pumping only. Finally, additional cleanings were performed on all three wells in the spring of 2017, the fall of 2018, the spring of 2020, the fall of 2021, and every fall thereafter 1.3 Objectives of this project: The City wishes to clean wells PP3, PP4, and PP5 1.4 To increase their efficiency and thus avoid pumping interruptions when the demand for drinking water is higher. 1.5 Wells #3 and #4 are close to each other, and Well #5 is located 85 meters from the nearest well, PP2. It will be used to supply the plant during the cleaning of wells 3 and 4. 1.6 The City of Maniwaki is responsible for the construction and maintenance of access roads to wells PP3, PP4, and PP5
