Site work and renovation of a library in Fairfax, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Construction services for brick masonry rehabilitation at building corners, relieving angles, existing vertical expansion joints, and new parapet expansion joints; removal and reinstallation of brick masonry cladding where indicated; salvaging and reusing existing brick where feasible; furnishing and installing brick ties at replaced brick and at locations indicated above and below relieving angles; repair of existing expansion joints and installation of new expansion joints; replacement of associated through wall flashing, self-adhered membrane flashing, insulation, and sealants within the repair areas; and all related protection, access, cleaning, and restoration required for a complete installation. The Base Bid includes work up to the underside of the coping only. PART B - Unit Price - Replace Spalled Brick Masonry - Remove and replace existing spalled brick with new brick. Note that this only applies to existing spalled brick if and as authorized and directed by the Owner prior to beginning demolition at the area in question. This item does not apply to brick damaged by the Contractor's removal process. Question Deadline 11/02/2026 Bidders Questions must be submitted through online portal.
