The Aleutians East Borough (AEB) is requesting proposals for repairs to the Cold Bay Dock trestle. The Work generally consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, temporary works, access systems, marine equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the repairs shown in the attached preliminary design drawings prepared by PND Engineers (Appendix A). The intent is to finalize the design based on input from the selected contractor. The Work includes, but is not limited to: Fabrication and installation of steel repair sleeves on four (4) damaged steel pipe piles on the dock trestle. Surface preparation, fit-up, welding, and grouting associated with the pile sleeve installations. Repair of damaged pile cap welds and miscellaneous structural steel components identified in the repair drawings. Repair of damaged concrete elements, including epoxy injection of structural cracks and restoration of bearing between the deck and supporting cap beam. Protection of existing utilities and dock facilities during construction. Mobilization and demobilization of personnel , equipment, materials, and vessel support required to complete the Work. Preparation and submission of shop drawings, welding procedures, product data, and other construction submittals required for execution of the Work.
