Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Burgin, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade detention facility; educational facility; and municipal facility.

Bid Package # 1 : This involves electrical service upgrades to each of the six general population, 2-story dormitory buildings, to include new, larger main transformers for each building (purchased by the Owner), new electrical service lines into the buildings and new main panels for each. This work shall require a temporary mobile generator and fuel tank for the entire electrical load of one building, to be moved from building to building in succession with the replacement work. Also included in this Package is new permanent security fencing in the dormitory areas for the new transformers and for the new outdoor HVAC equipment in Bid Package #2, as well as any temporary security fencing needed during construction in this Project. Bid Package #2: This involves HVAC equipment replacements in each of the six, general population, 2-story, dormitory buildings and in the Restricted Housing Unit. The four main HVAC units in each of five dormitory buildings will be replaced with new units, connecting to existing distribution ductwork, as well as replacing two of the main HVAC units in the remaining dormitory. In addition, miscellaneous return and exhaust fans and small heaters will be replaced in all seven buildings, as Bid Alternates, if funding is available. Temporary HVAC units shall be required to maintain indoor occupied conditions, as each existing unit is replaced in succession, and two main units may be out of service at one time. This project involves the replacement of HVAC equipment in six dormitory buildings and the Restricted Housing Unit, along with electrical service upgrades including new main transformers, panels, and service lines. The scope also includes the installation of temporary and permanent security fencing to accommodate the new equipment and electrical components. Bonds: Bid Bond required (unspecified amount).
