Renovation of an educational facility in Thornton, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a primary / secondary education facility.
On October 7, 2026, the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education voted to close Shadow Ridge Middle School at the end of the current school year and consolidate its students into Century Middle and Rocky Top Middle schools. This means the building will no longer operate as a middle school, and the campus will be repurposed — in this case, to house Hulstrom K-8, a gifted magnet school, which will expand from ~690 to ~950 students. Shadow Ridge was part of the 2024 bond project for campus-wide improvements. The bond plan includes: Replacing aging HVAC, lighting, and flooring systems Converting up to two classrooms for career and technical education (CTE) Safety upgrades (intercoms, fire alarms, door security) Athletic field, irrigation, and parking lot improvements *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
