Renovation of a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Install a chilled-water bypass loop system serving the third-floor laboratory space and integrate it with the existing chiller, air-handling equipment, and Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) building automation/control system. The bypass loop is required because it was not included in the original chiller installation, causing the chiller to shut down after operating for a period of time or when certain operating conditions are reached. These shutdowns result in inadequate cooling and elevated temperatures within the laboratory. The work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, and expertise necessary to install the bypass loop system and ensure proper operation and integration with the existing HVAC and building control systems to maintain reliable cooling within the laboratory space. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
