The overall scope of work for the Ootischenia Transfer Station Upgrades includes the following work components, with a detailed breakdown of the scope included in Section 01 11 00 - Summary of Work: B. Earthworks 1 . 2. 3. Clearing, grubbing, and stripping of the transfer station area. Bulk excavation, relocation, and compaction of soils. The area may contain historical buried waste, which will be relocated to the active face of the landfill. Subgrade preparation of the upper (drop off) and lower (operations and recycling) pads, as well as construction of the one-way frontage road to facilitate both residential and commercial traffic separately. C. Lock Block Z-wall 1 . D. Construction of a 10-bay lock-block z-wall, including all foundations, railings, and concrete pads. Two of the bays are intended for organic waste and will require a different railing than the regular Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) bins. Scale and Front-End 1 . 2. Construction and installation of a second vehicle weight scale to serve outbound traffic and improve user experience, including geotechnical testing for the foundation.
