Work consists of infrastructure upgrades to support Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. The project includes electrical upgrades such as electrical panel replacements and normal and emergency power improvements; bonding and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems; Building Management System interfaces; assessment and upgrades to existing HVAC systems; reconfiguration, expansion, and renovation of existing spaces, including demolition, new construction, finishes, and cabling; communications infrastructure upgrades including new data outlets, patch panels, and Cat 6A cabling; physical security enhancements; campus-wide fiber backbone upgrades within and between buildings; provision of a diversified WAN path; and hazardous material abatement. Work will be performed in multiple facilities across the medical center campus, including Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 33, 42, 55, 57, and 60, along with associated site infrastructure. The project will be delivered using a design-bid-build approach and includes all labor, materials, equipment, and construction services necessary to complete the required infrastructure improvements. The estimated construction value is between $20,000,000 and $30,000,000, with an anticipated performance period of 547 calendar days.
