Modernization of an existing hydraulic passenger elevator at Harding Band Building and an existing electric traction passenger elevator at David Kinley Hall. Work includes demolition of elevator equipment; installation of new elevator machines, controls, wiring, fixtures, cabs, doors, and operators; construction of a code-compliant elevator equipment room; and associated architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm/fire protection, and telecommunications work. The work includes modernization of the existing hydraulic passenger elevator at Harding Band Building and the existing electric traction passenger elevator at David Kinley Hall. Scope includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing elevator equipment and related construction ; new elevator machines/equipment, controls, wiring, fixtures, cabs, doors, door operators, and associated hoist way/pit/machine-room work; construction of a code-compliant elevator equipment room at Harding Band Building; architectural, structural , mechanical, plumbing, electrical , fire alarm/fire protection, BAS, and telecommunications work required to support the elevator modernizations; regulated materials abatement; finishes; testing; commissioning support; permitting; and closeout. The project also includes required coordination with UIUC Technology Services for elevator emergency communication systems, including emergency phone, camera/video, data, conduit/pathways, and related infrastructure. Work shall be coordinated with occupied-building requirements, construction staging, elevator shutdown periods, and the project schedule indicated in the Contract Documents.
