Furnish all tools, equipment, materials, permits, labor, supervision, and other resources necessary to replace portions of the existing campus water loop piping and existing campus water loop isolation valves. The work includes installation of a new water booster pump powered by a new equipment branch of emergency power in Building 22. To support the new emergency power branch, new wiring will be installed from Building 19 (generator building) through an existing underground conduit to Building 22, feeding a new emergency power distribution panel that will replace the existing panel that does not meet code requirements. The project also requires installation of a new automatic transfer switch, panelboard, associated wiring, and conduits to establish the new equipment branch of emergency power. Construction activities will impact existing asphalt roadways, parking lots, concrete sidewalks, and curbing due to excavation work. The contractor shall patch or replace asphalt and concrete as indicated on the drawings and restore all disturbed landscaping and lawn areas. Because the existing campus water loop piping is located beneath roadways and sidewalks, and much of the new piping will be installed in similar areas, the work shall be completed in phases to maintain campus access for employees and Veterans and to preserve water service until building service tie-ins are performed. Any required water service shutdowns must be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The period of performance is 300 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
