The scope of work encompasses comprehensive infrastructure upgrades to support the transition from the existing Computerized Patient Record System to the new Electronic Health Record Modernization platform. Work includes architectural demolition, reconfiguration, expansion, and renovation of existing spaces, as well as construction of new finished areas with updated doors and flooring. Structural work consists of modifying existing structural components and constructing new supports for mechanical and electrical equipment. Electrical upgrades include new panels, normal and critical power distribution, bonding, UPS systems, lighting, and additional power outlets. Plumbing modifications are required to reroute systems away from Telecommunication Rooms and to support new mechanical systems and interior drainage. Data communication improvements include new data outlets, patch panels, seismic-rated IT racks, cable management, and the full recabling of the campus to CAT 6A. The fiber backbone infrastructure will be upgraded campus-wide within and between buildings, with accompanying civil work such as concrete duct banks, pre-cast manholes, excavation, waterproofing repair, and site restoration. Environmental work includes asbestos and lead-based paint abatement in accordance with Maine DEP requirements, and the installation of a radon mitigation system based on contractor-prepared, State-registered design drawings. Fire protection upgrades include new gaseous suppression systems, modifications to existing sprinkler systems, a new sprinkler system for the MCR Building, fire alarm upgrades, and complete firestopping of wall and floor penetrations. Physical security upgrades include access control, intrusion detection, and security camera installations as shown in contract drawings.
