Site work, new construction and renovation of a civil project in Blue Hill, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The project includes the upgrade of two existing pump stations at Route 176 and Main Street and the construction of one new High Tide pump station at the existing wastewater treatment plant site. The Owner has prepurchased the High Tide pump station equipment. All other equipment shall be provided by the Contractor. Work under this project includes, but is not limited to, all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for the Phase 1 Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade and Pump Stations upgrade for the Town of Blue Hill, including general conditions and mobilization, temporary construction facilities, demolition and site clearing; structural and trench excavation, earthwork, backfill, aggregates, crushed stone and compaction; site pavement, site restoration, erosion control, utilities including sewerage, drainage and water service; chain link fence, precast concrete structures, cast-in-place concrete, wood framed structures, miscellaneous building improvements, metals, gratings and railings; steel and fiberglass doors, frames and door hardware; overhead door, windows; painting, and all equipment including packaged pump station equipment, headworks grinder, chlorine contact tank mixer, chemical pumps and flow meter equipment; installation of High Tide Pump Station equipment; gates, process piping and valves, expansion joints, pipe hangers and supports; ventilation; emergency standby generators, electrical equipment, wiring, conduits, controls, alarm and instrumentation systems; and all incidentals as required for the upgrade as defined and specified for the wastewater treatment plant and pump stations upgrade. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel requirements apply and all iron and steel products used must be produced in the United States. Waivers for DeMinimis, Minor Components, Pig iron and direct reduced iron apply. Buy America/Build America procurement law does not apply to this project; a waiver has been obtained. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum bid price and in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond issued by surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. The contractor must comply with all Federal Requirements per the RUS Supplementary Conditions and Davis-Bacon wage determinations. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
