Renovation of a mixed-use development in Brooklin, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
SU #76 School District (District) will receive sealed Bids for Heating and Ventilation Upgrades at the Brooklin School located in Brooklin, Maine in accordance with the Invitation to Bid, Bid Form, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings. The work shall generally consist of the replacement of an existing Ventilation Air Handler and general Exhaust Fan with an Energy Recovery Ventilator that serves the entirety of the school except for the Gymnasium; the replacement of a Gymnasium Heating and Ventilation Unit in kind; the addition of an Energy Recovery Ventilator for the Gymnasium; the replacement of existing hydronic zone valves; and incidental cutting, patching, and repair. The successful Bidder shall perform the work and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price with a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Maine. The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and in effect through the guarantee period. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, to reject any unbalanced bids, to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the Owner, to negotiate the Contract Price with any Bidder, and to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the interest of the Owner. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents Question Deadline 05/05/2026
