Site work and paving for a civil project in Bucksport, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Work under this project consists of milling of pavement, then shimming & repaving an approximately 2,600 foot long section of Central Street from Main Street to just beyond its intersection with Broadway. The scope of work includes milling 8300 SY of pavement on Central Street, replacement of one catch basin and one manhole, installing two drain and one sewer service connections, replacing 800 LF of bituminous curb, placing 1,100 tons of shim and surface pavement including striping, erosion control, traffic control, and providing all materials, equipment, and labor to provide a complete project. The project must be substantially completed within 45 consecutive calendar days and complete within 60 calendar days after the execution of Notice to Proceed. The Owner would prefer to have the work completed in 2023, but recognizes that may not be feasible due to contractors' schedules and weather limitations. There is a bid alternate to complete the work in 2024 to address this possibility. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid that it deems to be in its best interests and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
