Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.

The town is hoping the bridge bids will be in the $20,000 to $25,000 range. The Town of Cape Elizabeth is accepting sealed bids for construction of the Pollack Brook Pre-Engineered Pedestrian Bridge (hereafter call The bridge). The project includes providing all materials, foot-bridge design, labor and equipment to construction a foot-bridge as shown on contract drawings and as required by contract documents Summary of Work: 1. Construction a new 4-foot wide by 70-foot pedestrian metal bridge on granite block foundation and helical anchor supports or approved equal. Bridge to be pre-engineered and manufactured, delivered, installed, and complete. 2. All other work required for a complete project and as depicted on contract drawings in contract specifications/documents. A pre-bid meeting will not be held for the project. Contractors are required to field review the proposed foot-bridge installation area prior to bidding and direct any questions to the Town Planner, Maureen O'Meara (maureen.omeara@capeelizabeth.org). Questions must be submitted no later than 5 business days prior to bid due date. Bids will be opened by Town staff at the bid time and will then be evaluated. The opening will be a public opening. The award will be based upon the lowest responsive bid meeting the Town project intent, requirements and objectives. The Town reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids as determined by the Town to be in the Town's best interest. Contract addendum(s) not obtained from the Town website may invalidate any submitted bid for the project.
