Renovation of a communication facility in Columbia Falls, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.

This requirement is for Rehabilitation of the QEB RCAG Tower located in Columbia, Maine Location of Work: 76 Pea Ridge Rd. Columbia, Maine 04623 The FAA, as the Federal Government, is tax exempt. The awarded prime contractor will be responsible for any/all local, state and other applicable taxes. All contractors must have an active registration in SAM (sam.gov) in order to receive the award. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside NAICS Code: 237130 Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction Small business Size Standard: $39.5 Million Estimated project magnitude: Between $50,000 and $75,000 BONDS: Payment and Performance Bonds are not required. SITE VISIT: A Site Visit will be conducted at the site on Thursday August 18, 2022. Time slots: to be determined. QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this SIR should be submitted in writing by e-mail to Joni Haynes at joni.haynes@faa.gov with copy to Stevie Tabb at stevie.ctr.tabb@faa.gov No Later Than 15:00 p.m. CST on 8/22/2022 Proposals are due No Later Than 9/06/2022 at 15:00 p.m. CST. Any proposal received after 15:00 p.m. on 9/06/22 will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered for award. 00001 Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment and transportation for Tower Rehabilitation at the QEB RCAG Tower located in Columbia, Maine. All work shall be in accordance with the Scope of Work document entitled QEB (Columbia, ME) Tower Refurbishment Electronic & IT: 03 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: 1) Repair any rusted areas on tower steel elements by scraping and removing any rust down to bare steel and repairing with zinc rich paint such as ZRC Cold Galvanizing Compound or equal. 2) Apply coat of zinc rich paint such as ZRC Cold Galvanizing Compound or equal to all surface areas of tower steel. 3) Replace any rusted hardware with new, hot dip galvanized hardware to match existing ASTM specification. 4) Patch hairline cracks on NW guy wire anchor foundation with Simpson Strong Tie Structural Injection Epoxy or equal. 5) Reinstall new MSA ladder safety system
