Demolition and site work for a clubhouse / community center in Cooper, Maine. Completed plans call for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The Town of Cooper is seeking contractor quotes for two projects at the Cooper Community Center. Quotes may be submitted for the partial demolition of the existing structure, replacement of the existing structure or both. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to: Demolish the designated portion of the building down to grade. Remove all associated structural components, including: Foundations Exterior and interior walls Roof structure Floors and subfloors Disconnect and cap all utilities serving the demolition area. Protect and preserve the adjacent structure that will remain. Remove and legally dispose of all debris off-site. Restore the site to a safe, graded condition upon completion. This project consists of constructing a new one-story addition in the footprint of the previously demolished portion of the building. The new structure shall: Replace the removed two-story section with a single- story structure Integrate structurally and architecturally with the remaining building Be constructed on a reinforced concrete slab- on-grade foundation The finished addition must provide a weathertight, code-compliant, and fully functional space consistent with the existing facility.
