Once mobilization has been achieved, work shall be completed within 180 days. The Powell Road Pump Station in Cumberland is a canned style station with a concrete wet well, a canned dry well with flooded suction centrifugal pumps, and a generator and controls building. Much of the equipment in this station is beyond its expected useful life and is in need of an upgrade. This project will reconfigure the station to use the existing precast concrete wet well structure, abandon the canned dry well structure, install a new doghouse manhole, install new bypass connections, and install a new precast concrete valve vault structure with new check valves, isolation valves and a flow meter. This project will involve replacing the electrical distribution system, providing a new electrical service, replacing the pump control panel, providing new wall- mounted VFDs, new level instrumentation, and providing temporary bypassing during construction
