Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 2778600 WIN 027786.00 Location: In Lincoln County, the intersection of Route 1, Cross Road and Cochran Road is located approximately 0.27 of a mile easterly of Englebrekt Road. Scope of Work: Install a traffic signal at the intersection of Route 1, Cross Road and Cochran Road plus other incidental work. Questions received after noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. ME DOT - Install a Traffic Signal at the Intersection of Route 1, Cross Road and Cochran Road - Edgecomb - Region 2 MaineDOT DBE Project Attainment Target (PAT) for this Project is .052 % Amendment No. 1 March 31, 2025 - QA Amendment No. 2 April 7, 2025 Remove note 6 under utility coordination and access notes, replace it with the following: 6. The contractor is responsible for assessing the feasibiuty of reusing The existing poles and guy wires for the new signal system. The Contractor shall submit plans depicting the new system and stamped Structural calculations of the existing poles and foundations for Designers review. Any replacement of or modifications to poles and/or Guy wires JS incidental to item 643.80. Add Note 4 Under Lighting Notes 4. Proposed Luminaire Shall Share a Power Supply With the Proposed Signal Cabinet. The Luminaire Shall Be Wired Through the Signal Cabinet. The Luminaire Shall Also Be Wired on Its Own Circuit.
