Demolition, site work and addition to a detention facility in Farmington, Maine. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a detention facility; for the demolition of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
Description:- Franklin County Commissioners are requesting proposals to design and engineer a proposed addition to the Franklin County Detention Center located at Farmington, Maine. The proposed addition is needed to expand both the current medical and psychological spaces at the existing facility. The addition will be located on the southwest corner of the existing building. The addition will comprise of 2 holding cells with bathrooms, an office space for medical personnel, an office space for psychiatric personnel, and a single group room to house 12 people for meetings. Approximate added space to be 1200- 1500 sq. ft. This space will need to be a secure space within the jail. The proposal shall include Building Design, Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing Design, Bid Administration, and Construction Administration components. The design must be completed by June 12, 2022. Franklin County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, should it be in the County's best interest.
