Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Gilead, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,500-square-foot military facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management is conducting a competitive bid process for the Bathroom and Latrine Building Renovation at the Bog Brook Training Site in Gilead, Maine. Project consists of construction services to renovate the existing Shower and Latrine Facility to improve its functionality and to meet current code requirements. This project will also address mold and safety issues in the facility. The proposed activity will be of permanent construction and will extend the usable life of the facility. The supporting utilities to be upgraded include: potable water, sewer, underground electrical, and underground communication lines. This project will increase the square footage from the existing 920 sqft to the authorized 2,500 sqft. The cost of the work is approximately $ 1,847,100. The work to be performed under this contract shall be completed on or before the Final Completion date of 30 December 2024.
