Timber Harvesting and Stump Removal. The work generally consists of the following, which is not an all-inclusive list: Provision of timber harvesting activities on approximately 8.15 acres at the project site. Work to include, but not be limited to removal of all trees and vegetation including all branches, brush and slash, removal of tree stumps, leveling of ground, site prepped, and provision of erosion control, and a stabilized construction entrance. The bid should contain a separate price for timber harvesting and a separate price for removal of stumps, leveling and site prep as the timing for each is weather dependent. Bidders are encouraged to conduct visits to the site prior to the bid date. The Contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of all pertinent general public laws of the State of Maine in effect at the time of the execution of the Contract. A satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany bids. The selected Contractor will be required to furnish a 100% Performance/Payment Bonds and Lien Waivers to cover the execution of the work. Bonds and Lien Waivers shall conform to the Specifications and for the Contract Amount. The Owner reserves the right to waive all informalities and reject any and all proposals or to accept any proposal as may be deemed to be in the Owner's best interest. Owner may, at their discretion, only award one road for construction. The Owner is a tax-exempt entity.
