The County of Aroostook is accepting proposals (bids) for the replacement of entryway steps at the Sheriff's Office Building, 25 School Street, Houlton, Maine. Bids shall be presented to the County Commissioners at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the second-floor conference room, at the Sheriff's Office Building, 25 School Street, Houlton, Maine 04730. The County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids. A. Provide and furnish all necessary labor and materials in connection with the replacement of entryway steps at the Sheriff's Office Building, 25 School Street, Houlton, Maine. a. Provide any and all subcontract work, as needed. b. The entryway steps are located on the School Street side of the building (that service the Dispatch reception area of the building) and consists of replacing the existing concrete steps and steel rails with new steps and railings constructed of pressure treated lumber and composite decking. (1) The existing concrete landing and top two (2) steps shall be retained. (2) The existing steel rails shall be retained and reinstalled on the new wood railings.
