Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of furnishing and installing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to resurface or rehabilitate streets or roads, including utility cover adjustments, water gate box lowering and raising, tack coat, shim and overlay, driveway preparation and restoration, pavement removal, common excavation, aggregate base gravel, erosion and traffic control, and cleanup. All work must be completed by the specified deadline unless otherwise stated in the contract. Bidders must register with the Purchasing Agent to be added to the bidders list. Questions and requests for information should be submitted in writing to the designated contact. Each bidder must state their name, place of residence, and principal parties involved in the proposal, affirm the proposal is made independently, and declare no city official is interested in the proposal except as provided by city charter. The contractor is required to maintain personal oversight of the work, may not assign or sublet the work without written consent, and is responsible for subcontractor liabilities and required insurance coverage.
