Construction of a walking path along the Androscoggin River by the Continental Mill site and crossing Cross Canal #3, through the Museum LA site connecting to Simard-Payne Park. A new bridge over Cross Canal 3 is included in this project. This is extending the Riverwalk Trail System that includes the John Jenkins trestle bridge over the Androscoggin River to Auburn. It will provide a critical connection between Cedar St./Raymond Park and Simard-Payne Park. This project is in included in the City of Lewiston FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of May 27, 2022, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
