Site work for a water / sewer project in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work shall consist of the complete and satisfactory rehabilitation of a dual storm drain consisting of one 36" diameter pipe and one 30" diameter pipe, each approximately 200 linear feet in length. Each pipe consists of a section of reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) in the middle (under Lisbon Street) with corrugated metal pipe extensions at both ends. The rehabilitation must be done by UV cured-in-place lining as specified in the contract documents. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. Personal and business checks will not be accepted. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder. The Contractor shall furnish proof of coverage with adequate insurance of the types and to the limits specified in the bid specifications naming the City of Lewiston as additional insured. Certificate of such insurance shall be filed with the Purchasing Agent for his/her approval before permission to commence work will be granted. Faxed and E-mailed proposals will not be considered.
