RSU #67 School District (District) will receive sealed Bids for selective Classroom Unit Ventilator Replacements and DDC System Upgrades in accordance with the Invitation to Bid, Bid Form, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings. The work shall generally consist of the replacement of approximately (18) Classroom Unit Ventilators at the Ella P Burr Elementary School, and (8) Classroom Unit Ventilators at the Mattanawcook Jr. High School. The work will generally include replacing existing units with new; replacing incidental steam piping and valves/fittings; replacing existing pneumatic controls with DDC; modifying outside air intake ductwork as needed; modifying adjacent casework. The project shall be substantially completed by August 19, 2022. The successful Bidder shall perform the work and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price with a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Maine. The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and in effect through the guarantee period. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, to reject any unbalanced bids, to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the Owner, to negotiate the Contract Price with any Bidder, and to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the interest of the Owner.
