The project involves the reconstruction of storm drainage and sidewalks on approximately 1,600 linear feet of Paris Street between Main Street and Fair Street (Route 26). The work includes common excavation, storm drainage system installation, installing gravel subbase and base, hot mix asphalt paving, granite curbing, and other related incidental items. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the type of bid clearly indicated on the outside. All bidders must furnish a completed Bid Form, Experience Record, a list of all subcontractors to be utilized, and a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check. The successful bidder must furnish a Certificate of Insurance, 100% Construction Performance Bond, and 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond. Work shall be completed by November 20, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250.00 per day are contained in the Contract. The Town of Norway reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget, to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Norway, not necessarily the lowest bid.
