The University of Maine is seeking qualifications from Design Firms for the following project: 15kV DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM MASTER PLAN UMaine has an extensive power distribution system comprised of two substations, distribution switches, and underground distribution cables. It is an aging electrical infrastructure that requires updating to keep pace with new loads being added over the next 10 years. UMaine is currently fed from two substations, the east substation, and the west substation. The west substation feeds approximately 1/3 of the campus distribution system and the east substation feeds the remaining 2/3. A new 46kV/ 4160V transformer in the east substation will be installed in fall 2022 by the local utility. Deadline for Questions due no later than 4:00pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022 The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
