Renovation of an educational facility in Orono, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of September 13, 2023 , this project has been awarded to Warren Mechanical, awarded amount not available.** The work shall generally consist of demolition of an existing H&V Unit and selective ductwork, demolition of existing hydronic fintube radiation units and piping, installation of approximately (6) new hydronic unit ventilators, installation of a new ERV including ductwork and RGD's, and connecting the new equipment into the existing DDC system. The project shall be substantially completed by August 23, 2024. The successful Bidder shall perform the work and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price with a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Maine. The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and in effect through the guarantee period. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, to reject any unbalanced bids, to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the Owner, to negotiate the Contract Price with any Bidder, and to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the interest of the Owner.
