The work generally consists of installing a new ADA ramp, new concrete stairs with railings, replacement of front entrance doors and framing, creating a new secured vestibule, reconfiguring office and classroom spaces, modifying, removing, or relocating existing sprinkler, mechanical, and electrical components, installing new lighting, new power and data systems, new heat pump systems, a new ERV unit, new unit ventilator unit, ductwork, and DDC control modifications. The project requires adherence to the State of Maine Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rates for Penobscot County. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Maine. All materials and equipment furnished and work performed must be guaranteed for one year from the date of substantial completion. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technical or legal deficiencies, reject unbalanced bids, accept any bid in the best interest of the owner, negotiate the contract price with any bidder, and omit any item or items advisable for the owner's interest.
