Site work and paving for a civil project in Oxford, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
The project involves the replacement of culverts and ditching on Rabbit Valley Road, replacement of culverts on East Oxford Road and Number Six Road, and culvert replacements and reconstruction of an approximately 920 linear foot section of Sam Rowe Hill Road in Oxford. The work includes common excavation, grass-lined ditching, stone-lined ditching, installing HDPE culverts, installing subbase course and base course gravel, hot mix asphalt paving, and other incidental items as required to complete the project. Instructions to bidders: - Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the type of bid clearly indicated on the outside. - All bidders must furnish a completed Bid Form, an Experience Record, a list of all subcontractors to be utilized on the project, and a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check made out to the Town of Oxford. - The successful bidder must provide a Certificate of Insurance, a 100% Construction Performance Bond, and a 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond. - The work must be completed by September 4, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day are specified. - The Town of Oxford reserves the right to adjust the quantities in the Bid Form as needed, to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid in the best interest of the Town of Oxford, not necessarily the lowest bid.
