The Town of Portage Lake is accepting bids from qualified electricians to undertake several electrical jobs on Town property. Bidders must be fully insured and demonstrate qualification to undertake the required work. The awarded contract is subject to all applicable state and federal laws. The Select Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Site visits are required to complete proposals. Scope of Work: - Portage Lake Town Hall: Interior installation of LED lighting in specified locations, replacement of four exterior floodlights with LED fixtures with motion sensors (if available) and installation of two additional fixtures, estimate for rooftop solar panel installation, correction of code violations for the Generac Generator including conduit relocation, installation of properly sized conductors, breaker replacement, and proper separation of grounds and neutrals. - Portage Lake Pavilion: Replacement of ten 8-ft light fixtures with ten LED vapor tight fixtures, estimate for rooftop solar panel installation. - Seaplane Base: Installation of new electrical service including panel, breakers, meter, outlets, and light fixtures, estimate for rooftop solar panel installation. - Municipal Campground: Upgrade two camper sites to 30-amp outlets and five camper sites to 50-amp outlets, upgrade breaker box. - Main Street: Extension of outlets on poles for Christmas decor, installation of new outlets on two poles. Portage Lake Town Hall, 20 School St.: Interior--Install LED lighting in the basement, small office located in the Book Room, Fire Department office and Fire Department garage truck bay. Exterior--Replace 4 existing exterior flood lights with LED lighting w/motion sensors (if available) and install 2 additional fixtures of the same. Provide estimate for installation of rooftop solar panels for use at site Generac Generator--Correct multiple code violations discovered during an outlet install, including: relocation of conduit from main disconnect to ATS instead of through main panel and installation of properly sized conductors for same, replace Eaton Circuit Breakers with GE (ABB) Breakers per panel manufacturers UL listing, remove double taps on breakers and separate grounds and neutrals in main panel.
