**As of January 21, 2022, all bids were under review and the project has not been awarded yet. A timeline for award is not yet determined. The engineer’s estimate is between $1M and $3M. This is for the entire project and includes both the subgrade preparation and culvert repair. Bid Security in the amount of (5%) of the Total Bid shall be submitted with the Bid, The successful Bidder shall furnish: 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, Insurance Certificates and begin execution of this contract within ten (10) calendar days following the Notice of Award. All tree clearing shall be completed prior to March 31, 2022. All work for this contract shall be completed no later than October 31, 2022. The work of this contract includes Railroad Subgrade Preparation and Culvert Repair, as described below. All materials supplied for the project shall meet the projects attached Buy America requirements. The Contractor shall procure and maintain insurance coverage as specified in the attached Existing Insurance Requirements document, dated June 2006. NNEPRA shall be listed as an additional insured on all insurance coverages. Additionally, the Contractor shall execute a Railroad Service Agreement, similar to the attached sample agreement, with Pan Am Railways prior to beginning onsite work on this project. Contractor(s) shall coordinate the traffic control for access at grade crossings with MaineDOT and the local municipalities. At crossings where temporary traffic control is required for trucks entering and exiting the project area, the traffic control shall be in accordance with the latest revision of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
