Location: Portland Harbor CAD Cell project is located in the Fore River in South Portland, Maine on submerged lands owned by the State of Maine. The facility is located south easterly from the federal navigation channel, southwesterly from the South Portland Coast Guard Station, and northeasterly from South Port Marina. Outline of Work: The project includes, but, is not limited to the following items: Excavating by mechanical dredge an access channel to the confined aquatic disposal (CAD) cell site; excavating the CAD Cell as shown on the attached plans and specifications; disposal of dredged material at the Portland Disposal site located off Cape Elizabeth, Maine; demonstration of adherence to all applicable permits including USACOE, Maine DEP, and the Portland Harbor Commission. The Contractor shall make note of the schedule and sequence requirements presented in the contract documents. The City intends to start this project as soon as possible after the bid is awarded and within the permitted dredge window of November 1 to March 15.
