Renovation of a fire / police facility in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of April 23 2025, this project has an awarded bidder. Renovations to Cummings Center/Munjoy Fire Station Briefly and without force and effect upon the contract documents, the work of the contract can be summarized as follows: Furnish and install a new sprinkler system, fire alarm system, suspended ceilings, interior lights, energy recovery ventilation system, type I commercial kitchen hood and exhaust fan, and communication upgrades. In areas shown on the drawings, demo existing acoustic ceiling, above ceiling insulation, interior lighting, and associated electrical wiring. Locations: 134 Congress St Portland, Maine 04101 This project is funded, in part, with a grant from the U.S. Department of the Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Grant #G2404 Pre bid info : NOTE: Every effort will be made to provide as much forewarning as possible regarding these decisions All questions shall be directed in writing ONLY to the Purchasing Office at theaboveaddress and be received by 12:00 Noon on October 30th, 2024 (FAX207-874-8652, or emailpfitzgerald@portlandmaine.gov . Responses from the City that substantially alter this bidwill beissued in the form of a written addendum to all bid holders registered in the PurchasingOffice. Oral explanations or interpretations given before the award of the contract will not bebinding. Contractor is responsible for complying with all OSHA regulations. 2. All installation work shall comply with the current state and local codes and regulations. 3. After construction is complete, one (1) hard copy of all documentation, manuals, and warranties shall be provided along with a digital copy on a thumb drive. 4. Contractor is responsible to obtain all necessary permits. Local permit fees will be waived. 5. Contractor shall coordinate the project schedule with the City of Portland prior to any work. 6. Contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal Regulations including the Build America, Buy America Act
