As of August 22, 2025, this project has been awarded. The City of Portland Police Department (City) will be accepting proposals for the design, supply and delivery of various gym equipment to replace existing equipment in its facility at 109 Middle Street, Portland, ME 04101. The City is seeking a gym equipment vendor to deliver, supply and install the new equipment, designing a workable layout for this equipment; this work will include removal & disposal of existing equipment, as directed. The City will assume responsibility for costs and work related to general space improvements that may include, but not limited to, painting, flooring, any needed/additional electrical outlets. The successful proposer(s) (company) will be expected to design and provide various gym equipment that best meets the needs of the Portland Police Department users in the existing 1,200 square feet of existing space, this work will include removal of existing equipment as directed by the City. The proposer must provide detailed specifications of the equipment proposed including make & model numbers, illustrative documentation, other information the proposer may deem beneficial and should any/all and warranties. Question Deadline 10/01/2024 Questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Office no later than five working days prior to the scheduled opening date. The City of Portland reserves the right to evaluate the submitted proposals, waive any irregularities therein, select the candidate(s) with whom to interview and/or negotiate contract(s) and to reject any or all proposals that it seems in its best interest to do. The City reserves the right to substantiate bidder's qualifications, capability to perform, availability, past performance record and to verify that proposing organizations are current in their obligations to the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
