Demolition/Removal of a One-Story Wood Frame Structure Description: Federal Aid Project No. 2605501 State WIN 026055.01 Location: In Cumberland County , the building(s) are located at 1091 Congress Street, in City of Portland, ME. Outline of Work: Demolition/Removal of a 1 story wood frame structure but not to include foundation nor any outbuildings with a location at 1091 Congress Street in Portland. The buildings may be inspected by contacting Brian Mulhern of MaineDOT Property Office at (207) 624-3033 to arrange entry. For general information regarding Bidding and Contracting procedures, contact George MacDougall at (207) 624-3353. For project-specific information, FA X all questions to Brian Mulhern at (207) 624-3401, use electronic RF I form or email questions to RFI-Contracts.MDOT@maine.gov, project name and identification number should be in the subject line. Questions received after 12:00 noon of the Monday prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Department staff for clarification of contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. TT Y users call Maine Relay 711. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. If the low bid exceeds $100,000.00, a Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful bidder. If a bid indicates a credit to the State, the Department requires a bidder to forward a separate credit amount for the credit bid in the form set forth in the Special Provisions. This contract is subject to all applicable federal laws and to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation.
