Site work for a mixed-use development in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.
Outline of Work: Provide materials and labor for reconstructing the basketball court at the Gerald E. Talbot Community School in Portland, Maine. Work includes complete demolition and disposal of the existing basketball court; raising the base grade of the court by approximately 1.67 feet with owner provided base material; installation of drainage as needed under court area; site grading, loaming and seeding around the entire court to facilitate positive surface drainage and to prevent erosion; supply and install two basketball goal standards; pavement installation at basketball court, pathway and stair connection; application of all required painted lines; granite step installation, granite slope reinforcement installation; and complete other miscellaneous work as outlined on the approved plans and specifications. Bid alternates will include application of Premier Sports Coatings Resurfacer and Premier Sports Coatings to the basketball court, tree and plant bed installations; and timber guardrail installations around the gravel parking area. This project is funded, in whole or in part, by a grant from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
